Apple is set to unveil a new AI system, “Apple Intelligence,” during WWDC 2024, according to a report from Bloomberg.
This system will introduce AI features across iPhone, iPad, and Mac platforms, including a ChatGPT-like chatbot powered by OpenAI. Unlike other AI initiatives, Apple’s focus will be on practical applications like AI-powered summarizations, reply suggestions, and an enhanced Siri.
The AI features will use a combination of Apple’s technology and OpenAI’s tools, determining task processing either on-device or via cloud servers, while emphasizing user privacy and security. Compatibility will require newer devices, and the features will be optional for users.
