Israel’s President Makes History As He Delivers Speech Co-Written By ChatGPT

Isaac Herzog, the president of Israel, made history by becoming the first world leader to use artificial intelligence in a public speech yesterday.

Herzog delivered a video message at the “special opening remarks” at the Cybertech Global Tel Aviv 2023 conference, a cybersecurity event attended by 20,000 people.

The speech was partly composed by ChatGPT, which began with the statement: “I am truly proud to be the president of a country that is home to such a vibrant and innovative hi-tech industry.”

Herzog went on to acknowledge Israel’s contributions to technological advancement and its impact on the global stage, particularly in the fields of cybersecurity, AI, and big data. Israel is renowned for having more startups per capita than any other country, with Tel Aviv being a hub for tech companies. Herzog also emphasized that despite using AI to write part of his speech, hardware and software could not replace human will.
