Gboard has expanded availability of its Emoji Kitchen feature to Google Search on the web (h/t to Google9to5). Previously, Emoji Kitchen which allows users to mix and match emoji to create new combinations, was only available on Android devices through Gboard.
Now, to access Emoji Kitchen, users simply need to search for “Emoji Kitchen” on Google Search. They will then be prompted to “Get cooking” and can start selecting from dozens of emoji to combine.
Once a new emoji combination is created, mobile users can copy it from Emoji Kitchen to their clipboard and paste it into messages or documents. This means even iPhone users who previously did not have access, can now use Emoji Kitchen and paste creations into iMessage.
Emoji Kitchen Was Previously Available On Android
While the web version accessed through search may not have as many combination options as the Gboard app, it is still praised for offering wider device accessibility to the emoji mashup tool. The expanded availability allows more users to experiment with creating custom emoji combinations through Google’s Emoji Kitchen feature.
